BACKGROUND:

My interest in makeup began as a teenager and by the time I was 18, I was working in the cosmetics industry with Elizabeth Arden, Lancome and Biotherm. In 1978 I moved to London England to start a modeling career. During my modeling career I worked with many different makeup artists, taking away with me their best techniques. Coupling that with my natural talent for applying makeup is the basis of my training as a makeup artist. Practical work experience.
My skills with hair styling developed as I worked as a makeup artist. Nine times out of ten when I was hired as a makeup artist, I ended up doing the models or actors hair. To upgrade my skills in 1993 I took and successfully completed a photographic hair styling course thru Complections International-Canada Ltd. out of Toronto. I am well versed at hair from the simple to highly stylized.
In 1986 Sherrida Personal Management began representing me as a professional hair and makeup artist and continued to do so until I moved to Vancouver Island in 1994. Today I work as a freelance hair and makeup artist on Vancouver Island.
